Making trails to support a trail
The trail volunteers of Franklin County have again pitched in to create the 3rd Annual Metamora Corn Maze just outside of Metamora, Indiana, adjacent to the Whitewater Canal Trail. This remarkable field, a depiction of an 1880s map of Franklin County, pulls visitors from three states for family fun — and the proceeds benefit the nearby trail! This is another shining example of a community pulling together to make trails work for the common good. To learn more, visit www.metamoracornmaze.com and www.whitewatercanaltrail.com — and come walk the maze! You pedaled, we parkedThanks to great weather and several new venues, this has been a record year for Pedal & Park — 3,691 bikes and skates parked at 11 events! — and we want to thank every one of our patrons for supporting us. We invite you to visit the Pedal & Park web site to learn more about the program, to get involved or to sign up for periodic email updates, especially as we begin to develop our 2009 season. Again, thank you for coming out to Pedal & Park during 2008. You had fun! We watched your wheels. New news, all over
